Documents Required for Visa Applications
(for passport holders other than Japanese and for tourism purposes)


  • Visa application form Visa Application Form filled by the applicant
  • One photo (passport size)
  • Reservation slip of the air ticket or the itinerary issued by the travel agency
  • Passport and Copy of Passport with re-entry permit to Japan (needs re-entry permit valid at least 6 months at the date of application)
  • Documents showing the financial status of the applicant (bank and/or postal account statement etc.)
  • Documents proving the business (for employers; the document showing the business, for employees; a document showing the present job signed by the employer, for students; an official letter from the school that he/she attends)
  • Visa fee (see the attached list)
